About Us:
We are proud to be working with an excellent and caring school in the London Borough of Havering. The school is looking for a Year 1 SEN TA to support two pupils who have autism and are non-verbal. If you would like to work in an enriched and supportive environment as a Year 1 SEN TA, then this is the school for you! As a Year 1 SEN TA, you will be required to support two pupils on a 1:1 basis. The school believes that children should be curious about learning and see themselves as lifelong learners. The start date for this Year 1 SEN TA role is September.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work as a Year 1 SEN TA
* Supporting two pupils as a Year 1 SEN TA
* Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities.
* Work collaboratively as part of a team
* Observe and assess children’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
* Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
* Previous experience working in a Primary School
* Experience working with children with SEN
* Experience working as a Year 1 SEN TA
