Reed Finance are supporting our client in their search for a Finance Project Manager to lead and manage finance-related projects and programmes across the organisation. This role is crucial for ensuring effective planning, execution, and delivery of financial initiatives, supporting strategic financial planning, process improvement, and cross-departmental collaboration to enhance financial sustainability and operational efficiency.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Monitor individual project budgets within each programme, ensuring cost control and value for money.
* Analyse financial data and provide accurate forecasting to support decision-making and strategic planning.
* Develop and implement financial tracking and reporting tools.
* Review and improve financial processes and controls across departments.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders including Finance, Programme Management Office, Property, Education, IT, and HR teams.
* Provide financial insight and reporting to senior leadership, trustees, and external partners.
* Facilitate knowledge sharing and training across teams to improve financial literacy and system use.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Part qualified and qualified by experience will also be considered.
* Significant proven experience in financial project management or business transformation.
* Strong analytical and technical finance skills, including experience of analysing project performance.
* Experience of initiating and implementing improvements to financial processes and controls.
* Collaborative and diplomatic, able to build effective and successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
* Accounting experience in the charity or not-for-profit sector would be beneficial but not essential
