Location: Glasgow, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a drive for social impact to join the Analytics team in its early stages and hit the ground running, quickly getting to grips with the technical detail of how we measure success of a greenfield organisation set up at pace.
You’ll work with the Analytics leadership team to guide technical solutions and help monitor the performance of the organisation. You’ll work with your team to unpack data from across the organisation to tackle challenges, developing insights and confidently communicating them to stakeholders at all levels in ways that connect best with them. You’ll also work closely with Digital colleagues to enable accurate performance measurement, considering user needs and best practice.
You’ll build a close relationship with IBCA business areas, in order to ensure that performance reporting is accurate and informative and supports the critical work of the organisation.
Responsibilities
* Build strong working relationships to help teams identify “what good looks like”.
* Help teams develop objectives, hypotheses, metrics and KPIs to track performance using Google Analytics and other data sources.
* Support the Intelligence team by informing dashboard development, and prepare for future service assessments in line with the Government Service Standard.
Qualifications
* Experience in digital analytics and/or data analysis.
* Strong understanding of different ways of reporting performance (e.g. KPIs vs metrics or measures) and when each is appropriate.
* Ability to provide insight and translate technical terms in a clear, concise manner for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
* Experience working with stakeholders at all levels to define metrics and KPIs, turning business goals into performance measures.
* Experience with Google Analytics, Google BigQuery, Google Tag Manager or similar.
* Experience working with data across varied sources, understanding the Government Service Standard and service assessment.
* Experience working with multidisciplinary Agile teams.
