We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Huntingdon. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the design and implementation of electrical systems for various building service projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the electrical design process for building service projects from concept to completion.
* Develop detailed electrical designs, including schematics, layouts, and specifications.
* Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary information for design purposes.
* Collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into overall building designs.
* Ensure all designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
* Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and documentation.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members.
* Participate in project meetings and coordinate with clients to understand their requirements and provide solutions.
* Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
* Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
* A Professional Engineer (PE) licence or equivalent certificate is preferred.
* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical design within the building services sector.
* Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, ETAP).
* Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Project management experience is a plus.
