Job Title: PRU Teaching Assistant
Location: Hillingdon
Salary: £85 £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
GSL Education is working with a Pupil Referral Unit in Hillingdon to recruit a PRU Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting secondary students excluded from mainstream education.
Responsibilities:
* Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils presenting behavioural challenges.
* Implement positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.
* Assist teachers with lesson preparation and student engagement.
* Act as a role model and mentor for pupils.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in PRUs, youth work or behavioural support is beneficial.
* Resilient, calm and able to work under pressure.
* Confident managing challenging behaviour.
* Enthusiastic about re-engaging learners.
