The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for infrastructure and earthwork projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction methodologies, productivity rates, plant utilisation, labour costs, and material pricing to build estimates from first principles. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering infrastructure and earthworks projects. Develop first principles estimates including labour, plant, materials, and productivity analysis. Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documents to determine project scope and cost drivers. Prepare bills of quantities and pricing schedules. Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Conduct risk analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams during tender preparation. Support value engineering and alternative construction methodology proposals.
