Overview
HC-One is looking for an Assistant Chef with at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a great understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. It’s about your brilliant, positive energy and natural ability to get along with people. You’ll be organised, meet deadlines, present your food attractively, and have a knack for following recipes perfectly. You will communicate with Residents and co-workers in a truly considerate and kind way.

Responsibilities
* Cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals that Residents will love.
* Provide outstanding support to the First Chef, taking charge in their absence.
* Manage food stock, work out how to make the most of the budget, coach a colleague, or supervise kitchen clean-up.
* Always keep Resident wellbeing in mind above anything else.
Training, Safeguarding and Qualities
* Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility; recognise signs of potential abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. Attend safeguarding training appropriate to the role and undertake additional training as required. Have the ability to seek advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
* Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a good understanding of HACCP principles.
* Brilliant communication with Residents and co-workers; organised, deadline-driven, and able to follow recipes precisely.
* Kindness and consideration in all interactions; a positive energy and ability to get along with people.
