About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to join our team in Southampton. In this role, you will be part of a collaborative team that tailors care packages to meet the unique needs of each child and young adult. Our staff are trained in Developmental Trauma and therapeutic parenting, ensuring you have the tools to provide the best support possible.
Your Responsibilities
* Support children and young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
* Work flexible shifts, including 7 x 24-hour shifts with sleep-ins over a 3-week rotation.
* Promote and safeguard the welfare of our young people.
* Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships.
* Encourage the development of individual interests and skills.
* Collaborate effectively as part of a dedicated team.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with children and young people, with an understanding of the challenges they face.
* Flexibility in availability for shift work.
* Willingness to pursue a Residential Childcare/Families Practitioner Diploma or equivalent, with a goal to upgrade to Level 4.
* A full UK driving license and access to a car for travel.
* Excellent communication and listening skills.
* A positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (cost covered by us).
* Experience with Emotional Behavioral Disorder, Social/Residential Work, or Youth Work is a plus.
