Material Handler
Dungannon, Co Tyrone
Full Time Monday - Friday 8am-5pm
Join our client and embark on an exciting opportunity as they seek a skilled and dedicated Material Handler to contribute to the Site Materials team.
What you will do
You will play a pivotal role within the Materials team, handling material in a safe and efficient manner. You will be responsible for creating a seamless flow of material between Production and Stores.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
1. Efficient and timely handling of all materials
2. Support Production through timely and accurate delivery of Parts
3. Use of PIT in a safe and efficient manner including Counterbalance, Reach Truck, Pallet Stacker, Tugger Truck etc.
4. Processing of Parts received to both Production and Stores
5. Prompt and accurate control of paperwork
6. Loading and Unloading of Materials deliveries
7. Compliance with inventory control measures
8. Compliance with internal environmental and waste management procedures
9. Following Standard Work procedures
10. General Housekeeping Duties
What you will bring
11. Previous experience of working in a fast moving manufacturing environment in a similar role
12. Valid PIT licence, preferably Counterbalance
13. IT literate - previous experience of MRP style system would be advantageous
14. Educated to GCSE standard
15. Understanding of Inventory Control
16. Self-motivation and initiative
17. Ability to work well in a team
18. Ability to problem solve
19. Strive towards continuous improvement
20. Ability to work in an environment that is fluid with constantly changing priorities
