KS2 Teacher (Primary) – Short-Term & Long-Term Opportunities

We’re looking for a confident KS2 teacher who knows how to take ownership of a classroom and keep pupils motivated, focused, and progressing. This role would suit someone who is adaptable, organised, and comfortable stepping into a busy mainstream primary setting—whether for a short-term cover position or a longer-term placement.
The Role
You’ll be working within Key Stage 2, delivering lessons that are clear, purposeful, and accessible to a range of learners. The role can vary depending on the length of placement, so being able to quickly read a classroom and respond accordingly is essential.
What You’ll Be Doing
In Short-Term Placements:
* Delivering lessons that have already been set, ensuring continuity for pupils
* Keeping behaviour consistent with school expectations
* Maintaining a productive and calm classroom environment
* Leaving clear handover notes on progress and any issues
* Settling quickly into new classrooms and following school routines
In Long-Term Placements:
* Planning and delivering sequences of lessons across the KS2 curriculum
* Assessing work and using this to inform next steps
* Tracking pupil progress and identifying gaps
* Managing behaviour and building strong routines over time
* Attending staff meetings and contributing to team discussions
* Communicating with parents and supporting wider school activities

* Someone who can manage behaviour without overcomplicating it
