Purpose of the role:

As a Business Unit Controller managing one of our largest branded customers along with responsibility for managing direct reports and tactical clients, the main priority is to exceed expectations for our clients, exceed annual commercial KPIs, provide leadership and innovative thinking to the team, and continue to achieve year-on-year commercial growth.

Key Requirements:

* Agree and deliver an annual JBP with one of our largest clients that supports their strategy in Market-Share growth.
* Lead, manage and empower a section of the Client Team to ensure we hit our commercial KPIs as well as implementing a strong people-development plan.
* Be the main point of contact between Tactical Solutions and the main brand client.
* Drive the right levels of communication internally to ensure we over-deliver on client expectations.
* Performance-manage a team of NAMs/NAEs in line with Tactical Solutions values.
* Develop and implement a strategy that supports the delivery of margin-accretive initiatives.
* Deliver short term and develop medium- and long-term strategies to drive value growth.
* Work with wider BUC team to grow Tactical Solutions/Dee Set Group revenue and reputation.
* Develop direct reports and lead the succession planning agenda within the Business Unit.
* Accountability for managing the revenue and invoicing for the business unit ensuring we hit our invoicing and cashflow obligations.
* Work closely with the Business Insights Team do support delivery of impactful insights both to drive revenue and support the brand/client with actionable outputs.
* Work across the Dee Set group to optimise growth opportunities across all your client base.

Skills & Experience Required:

* Attention to detail and ability to interpret and prioritise multiple data points.
* Strong understanding of the UK Grocery and Convenience Market.
* Strong leadership skills that support the development of the team and provide clear vision and goals.
* Commercially astute and able to support others in their commercial development.
* Ability to work under pressure, and to meet tight deadlines.
* Work at pace and encourage others to do so.
* Ability to understand customer expectations and how we can over-deliver.
* Be a great presenter to deliver clear messages and inspire others.
* Ability to prioritise your work as there will be different demands from different people.
* Good clear communication style –verbal, written and telephone manner.
* IT skills required – need to work with PowerPoint, spreadsheets, Word, and Power BI.
* A great self-motivator with a “can do” attitude.
* Ability to challenge and be challenged back remaining calm and objective at all times
