Contract Assignment: European Retail Display Project Manager

Reference: BH 7188

Hourly Rate: £29.33 (depending on experience) – up to 40 hrs/week, occasional evening calls with U.S. stakeholders

Duration: 12 months (with potential extension)

Start Date: ASAP

Location: Remote (must be UK -based)

Contract Type: Must be able to contract via PAYE


Responsibilities:

* Lead and coordinate planning, production, and implementation of physical retail display programs across the UK and Europe.
* Deliver both temporary (campaign-oriented) and permanent (furniture/fixture) retail display projects from design through execution.
* Act as liaison between our clients’s internal cross-functional teams, external creative/production agencies, and European retail partners.
* Maintain and update project trackers and documentation to ensure timely delivery and budget adherence.
* Manage vendor calls, production timelines, payment processing, and internal system tools.
* Generate and track purchase orders (POs) and ensure accurate spend reporting.
* Coordinate with retail fixture vendors, channel marketing managers, and design stakeholders to resolve project-related issues.
* Provide ad-hoc support to other regions and teams as needed during high-volume rollout phases.


Requirements:

* Minimum 3 years of project management experience in a retail display or physical merchandising environment, preferably in consumer electronics.
* Proven experience with store display rollouts, in-store campaigns, and managing vendor and stakeholder communication across multiple countries.
* Proficiency in managing cross-functional teams and projects in an unstructured and dynamic organizational setting.
* Strong command of MS Excel, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and PowerPoint.
* Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to influence across multiple teams.
* Experience working with or for major European retailers such as Currys, MediaMarkt, Fnac, John Lewis, etc.
* High attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple project timelines and deliverables.
* Comfortable navigating complex matrix environments and resolving cross-stakeholder conflicts.
* Experience with managing budgets, tracking project spend, and working with internal finance systems.
* Fluency in English; additional languages (French, German, Spanish, Italian) are a strong plus.


Required Qualification(s):

* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design, or a related field preferred
* PMP or Prince2 certification is an advantage
