We are looking for an Occupational Therapist to join our in‑house clinical team at Crookhey Hall School, an independent specialist day school supporting children and young people aged 10‑17 in Lancaster (LA2 0HA).
Responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with the education team to deliver bespoke Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for pupils with developmental trauma, neurodivergence or socio‑emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
• Hold a caseload of pupils, following the OFG Occupational Therapy Ways of Working and the requirements of governing and professional bodies.
• Contribute to staff training, consultation and multidisciplinary planning within the school setting.
• Prepare clear and concise report writing and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Qualifications
- Recognised Occupational Therapy degree
- Valid and up‑to‑date HCPC registration
- Registered member of RCOT
- Relevant experience providing OT services in a similar educational setting (preferred)
- Experience working with neurodivergent and/or learning difficulty and/or SEHM populations (evidence of transferable skills)
- Sound knowledge of OT theory and practical application to support independence
- Experience of multi‑professional work with teams or external services (preferred)
- Ability to work independently, flexibly and confidently
- Clear and concise report writing skills
- Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle
- Interest in sensory integration or sensory‑informed practice (SI practitioner training in progress or completed is preferred, but not essential)
Employment Details

- Contract: Permanent (term‑time only; full‑time flexibility may be discussed)
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Salary: Up to £53,200 FTE DOE plus £3,000 Welcome Bonus (subject to terms and conditions)
