Dyslexia Assessor/Tutor – Longbridge – Immediate Start
Monarch Education are currently recruiting for a qualified and compassionate Dyslexia Assessor/Tutor to support learners at a specialist education setting in Longbridge, Birmingham. This is a part-time role, working 17.5 hours per week over 2.5 days, with an immediate start available.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a professional with a Level 7 qualification in assessing for exam access arrangements to make a meaningful impact on learners with specific learning difficulties. You will play a key role in identifying individual needs and delivering tailored support to help students overcome barriers and achieve their academic goals.
Key Details:
* Location: Longbridge, Birmingham
* Hours: 17.5 hours per week (2.5 days)
* Start Date: ASAP
* Specialism: Dyslexia assessment and support, exam access arrangements
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* A Level 7 qualification in assessing for exam access arrangements (e.g. CPT3A or equivalent)
* Experience working with learners with dyslexia or other specific learning difficulties
* Strong understanding of SEND and inclusive education practices
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A supportive, empathetic, and learner-centred approach
* Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducting diagnostic assessments for dyslexia and exam access arrangements
* Delivering one-to-one or small group support sessions tailored to individual needs
* Writing clear, evidence-based reports in line with JCQ guidelines
* Collaborating with teaching staff and SEN teams to implement support strategies
* Monitoring learner progress and adapting support as needed
* Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
