About the Role
Our client is recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist to join their established wood manufacturing team. They specialise in producing high-quality, precision-crafted wooden products and are looking to expand their skilled workforce.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC machinery used to manufacture wooden components to exact specifications. You will work closely with the production and design teams to help deliver high-quality products efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
Set up and maintain CNC routers/machining centres for wood products
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications
Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
Monitor production quality and adjust machine settings as needed
Ensure safe operation of machinery and maintain a clean workspace
Collaborate with team members to optimize production efficiency
Maintain accurate records of production runs and machine parameters
Requirements
Previous experience as a CNC Machinist (woodworking experience preferred)
Experience with woodworking machinery and tools
Ability to interpret technical drawings and measurements
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and within a team
Commitment to high safety and quality standards
Desirable Skills
Knowledge of various wood species and machining characteristics
Understanding of lean manufacturing practices
