Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Investigator to join the South East Regional Crypto Currency Unit at SEROCU. The successful candidates will be joining an established and nationally recognised team due to the expansion of the existing capability which is planned to commence in January 2026.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate a strong background and accreditation as a Financial Investigator and a keen interest or experience in working with crypto currencies, or a strong background of working with crypto currencies with a keen interest in working through accreditation to become a Financial Investigator.
* Commit to attending and completing training courses to equip them with the required skills.
* Be adaptable to join a forward‑thinking team at the forefront of law enforcement efforts to respond to the increased use of crypto currencies.
* Demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand; occasionally this may require working away from home and performing on‑call arrangements for immediate response across the South East region.
* Possess a full UK Driving Licence (essential).
* Pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks; must have resided in the UK for the past five years (exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service).

Requirements
* Strong background in financial investigation or crypto currency experience with an interest in accreditation as a Financial Investigator.
* Willingness to undertake training to achieve accreditation as a Financial Investigator.
* High degree of understanding of crypto currencies and analytical skills.
* Ability to work within security and vetting requirements, including UK residence of the past five years.
* Flexibility with working hours and the potential for remote/office arrangements.
