We are currently seeking a SEND Tutor to join our dedicated team at our Dorchester Centre.
Job Description
* Prepare course/training materials
* Complete external paperwork as required in a timely manner
* Maintain the quality of the learner programme to a sufficient standard to pass IQA and EQA criteria
* Complete learner and deliver paperwork as per required timescales
* To deliver embedded English and Maths skills
* To deliver Maths and English GCSE/Functional skills.
* To teach wellbeing awareness
* To attend business networking events to promote the activities of SWRAC
* To support learners with LDD/SEND in a variety of classroom settings
* To work closely with team members to ensure that ILP targets are monitored and reviewed
* To be aware of individual learners' risk assessments and needs
* Encourage independence and self-help skills wherever possible
* Other duties of a commensurate nature as required
Person Specification
Qualifications:
Essential:
* Recognised teaching qualification
* Level 2 Maths & English (or equivalent/ GCSE level 4)
* Experience of working with young adults who have SEND/behavioural difficulties
* Understanding of relevant polices /codes of practice and awareness of relevant legislation
Desirable:
* Behaviour qualifications
