Meraki Talent's market leading client are looking to add a Financial Controller to their dynamic Finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professionally qualified finance professional looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in driving financial insight and supporting strategic decisions across the business. You will work closely with multiple departments, combining analytical expertise with strong interpersonal skills to foster teamwork, clarity, and effective communication at every level.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain robust financial reporting, systems, and controls to ensure integrity and compliance across the business.
* Prepare and review monthly P&L and balance sheet reporting, ensuring alignment with accounting standards, internal controls, and corporate policies.
* Lead the annual budgeting process and provide regular forecasting updates to support business planning.
* Consult with managers and directors, interpreting results, explaining variances, and recommending actions to enhance business performance.
* Provide insight into costs, cost drivers, and cash management to support commercial decision-making.
* Manage cash position, approve payments, and oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
* Oversee monthly payroll processing and quarterly VAT filings.
* Collaborate across the business to identify commercially viable opportunities and contribute to a sustainable financial model.
Candidate Requirements:
* Professionally qualified accountant (ICAS/ACCA/CIMA) with significant financial management experience.
* Proven ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the business, including commercial and IT teams.
* Strong commercial insight with excellent communication skills, able to articulate financial information in a meaningful way.
* Demonstrates values-led leadership, confidence in challenging situations, and the ability to maintain strategic focus while managing business-as-usual operations.
* Experience leading and motivating a finance team, balancing strategic initiatives with day-to-day finance responsibilities.
