Headteacher – The Role:
A Headteacher provides professional and strategic leadership, embedding the Trust and school vision in all aspects of school life. They promote pupil engagement through Excellence, Exploration, and Encouragement, ensuring every child can thrive. Working collaboratively across the LAAT family of schools, they contribute to shared goals and may support other Trust schools as needed.
Headteacher – Key Responsibilities:
- Embed the Trust vision across the School
- Work with the local board and community to create a local vision for the School
- Motivate others to create a shared learning culture and positive climate
- Implement the vision into agreed objectives and operational plans
- Support curriculum development and innovation to ensure a vibrant, locally relevant and engaging curriculum is in place
- Ensure the continuous and consistent focus on pupils’ achievement
- Establish creative, responsive and effective approaches to learning and teaching
Headteacher – You:
- Qualified Teacher Status with a successful NQT year completed
- National Professional Qualification of Headship or working towards
- Evidence of continuing professional development
- Significant experience as an Headteacher, Deputy Head/ Head of School with a sustained record of school improvement
- Experience of developing partnership and learning between schools
- Experience of the effective management of funding and resources
- Evidence of successfully leading and sustaining educational initiative
