About the role:
The Analytical Chemist Laboratory Technician will conduct chemical sampling and analysis of products throughout production and in final packaging, according to a sampling plan. They will interpret and report analytical data.
Reporting to the Lab Manager, this role is vital to our success and involves:
Role Responsibilities:
* Perform daily chemical lab duties, including solution preparations and calibrations
* Maintain high standards of hygiene and 5S in the lab
* Record data and produce analysis reports weekly, periodically, and monthly
* Support team learning in analytical methods, equipment maintenance, and result interpretation
* Take samples and analyze using techniques such as spectrophotometry, chromatography, titration, including Anton Paar and Gallery beer analyzers
* Manage COSHH and risk assessments, and oversee stock control and purchasing
* Monitor analysis results and collaborate on troubleshooting with the Quality Assurance team
* Ensure compliance with the Brewing proficiency scheme
Experience and Key Attributes:
* Degree in Science, Chemistry, or extensive laboratory experience
* Experience with Gas Chromatography and HPLC is essential
* Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
* IT literate; SAP knowledge preferred
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Flexible, motivated, with a focus on continuous improvement
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
