You can find out more about us at www.yutree.com About the Role We are currently seeking a capable and experienced insurance professional to join our carefully selected team as either an Account Handler or a Senior Account Handler, depending on your skills and experience. Whether you’re developing your expertise or already operating at a senior level, we’d love to hear from you. You'll ensure our clients receive suitable and cost-effective insurance solutions by understanding their needs and negotiating with insurers to find the best solutions. Main duties: Account Handler Working closely with Client Executives to understand client needs, including supporting meetings as required; Managing all renewal, new and mid-term policy work as required; Negotiating with insurers to obtain appropriate and cost effective solutions for clients; Keeping electronic files up to date and in order, and all work diarised/tasked accordingly Maintaining an understanding of the general insurance market and changes within Senior Account Handler Building and maintaining strong business relationships with clients and insurers Generating and converting new business leads Making and attending client meetings where appropriate Discussing and assessing clients’ current and future insurance needs providing appropriate advice Managing all new/renewal/MTA/Claims work as required to build a profitable direct client account Negotiating best policy terms with insurers, conducting market exercises where appropriate Providing business reports to clients and the Board as required Keeping electronic files up to date, in order and all work tasked/diarised in Acturis Acting as mentor/referral point for colleagues Maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the general insurance market, including attending networking/supplier events as appropriate Either role is full time and based at our office in Newmarket, with hybrid working available after probation and on discussion. Occasional travel to our office in Norwich may also be required. Full job descriptions of both roles are available upon request. About You You will be able to hit the ground running to support our Client Executives and support the long term goals of the business. You must have: Proven experience of working as an Account Handler, specifically in commercial lines and across a range of products At least a C or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English At least Cert CII qualification Effective computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Broad knowledge and understanding of the insurance sector A Senior Account Handler must also have: Relationship management experience Strong technical knowledge Experience of working in complex environments requiring some strategic thinking and driving innovation Ideally, you will also have experience of using Acturis. You’re naturally curious and proactive, with a talent for building trusted relationships internally and externally, and for delivering fair customer outcomes. You think beyond the obvious, confidently evaluating options and proposing practical solutions. Adaptable and organised, you manage competing priorities with ease and communicate ideas clearly to influence outcomes. If you’re joining us as a Senior Account Handler, you’ll bring these same qualities with a broader, more strategic focus — driving innovation, mentoring others, and helping to shape best practice across the team. You’ll encourage colleagues to use their initiative, share knowledge generously and collaborate to deliver effective, commercially sound solutions. As a senior member of the team, you’ll act as a role model for professionalism, integrity and continuous improvement.
