Job Overview
Responsible for transporting a 7‑year‑old child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to various activities and ensuring his safety.
Responsibilities
* Drive safely to and from scheduled activities, including swimming and play parks, within the community.
* Assist with personal care and daily routine.
* Maintain a supportive and positive environment to minimise frustration and meltdowns.
* Communicate with the child and caregivers as needed.
* Follow the schedule: 5 hours per week during term time and 8 hours per week during non‑term time.
Qualifications
* Valid driving licence and clean driving record.
* Confident, trustworthy, reliable and punctual.
* Experience working with children with ASD or similar conditions (advantageous).
* Good communication skills and patience.
* Must hold a DBS check (cost covered by employer) if required to work with children.
Hours
Every Saturday or Sunday, 5 hours per week during term time and 8 hours per week during non‑term time. Specific times to be discussed during interview.

Additional Information
Trial period of 1 month and probationary period up to 6 months. Employment provided by an individual employer, not Neath Port Talbot Council.
