The Role
We are seeking a highly technical and analytical Data Analyst to produce reports, statistics, market intelligence and forecasts using mathematical modelling and analysis. You will come from an analytical background with a mathematics, natural sciences or computer science degree and have proven experience analysing data in a technology business.
What you'll be doing
* Interpreting data, analysing results, producing executive reports and briefings
* Collating operational and real time data to produce custom reports
* Actively suggesting improvements to data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality
* Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining data systems
* Identifying, analysing and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
* Reviewing, filtering and cleaning data and utilising performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
* Working with management to prioritise business and information needs
* Locating, defining and improving any data collation and analysis processes
* Ability to present data in a concise and user-friendly manner
* Liaising with developers to improve the quality of the reporting tools and enhancements
* Producing specific reports tailored for customers and suppliers
* Producing daily performance reports in a timely manner
* Diagnosing problems
What experience you'll have
* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Natural Sciences or Mathematics
* Masters in Data Analytics or similar
* Minimum 2 years experience working as a business or data analyst in technology or SaaS business
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Professional, diplomatic with the ability to interface with customers
* Analytical, knowledgeable and passionate about data analysis
* Knowledge of XML and Java
