Location & Work Requirements
Program Manager, Operations – Corporate Team, Hereford, England, United Kingdom. Full‑time, on‑site at the Hereford, UK Headquarters. Work hours include days, evenings, weekends and rotational shifts (07:00‑15:00, 14:00‑22:00). Overnight and weekend point‑of‑contact duties are scheduled one week every five weeks.
Job Description
The Operations Manager (SPS) oversees the Operations Centre (OC). The role manages the OC and its personnel, ensuring all tasks meet client and SPS standards. The position is primarily office‑based, with occasional travel within the UK and overseas, and involves on‑site operations when deployments are non‑operational.
Responsibilities
* Communicate with co‑workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
* Coordinate and provide oversight of all security‑related issues and incidents concerning SPS operations.
* Implement procedures and protocols in the event of an incident or emergency.
* Maintain awareness of future planning requirements.
* Day‑to‑day liaison and planning of tasks with clients, SPS consultants, sub‑contractors, and third parties.
* Provide cost proposals to clients.
* Coordinate evacuations when required.
* Manage co‑workers in the GRC Operations Room, including administration of team roster, overtime, and annual leave.
* Formulate and maintain standard operating procedures for clients.
* Provide standby point of contact for 24/7 GRC‑related requirements.
* Facilitate training exercises for clients.
* Monitor intelligence, travel alerts, and logistical reports to give timely and accurate guidance.
* Support embedding of security advisors.
* Oversee training for self and RC requirements.
* Support the Ops Director Global Assistance as required.
* Undertake any duties directed by the SPS/Concentric SLT.
Required Qualifications
* Operational experience in handling and managing security‑related incidents.
* IT literacy, including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Apple macOS.
* Willingness to travel occasionally away from GRC.
