Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Eastbourne – Personal Care Experience Advantageous
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education are working with a caring and inclusive school in Eastbourne seeking a Special Needs Teaching Assistant to support pupils with complex needs. Experience with personal care is highly advantageous for this role, as you'll be helping children access their education with dignity and respect.
The Role:
* Support children with special educational needs and complex physical or medical needs
* Assist with personal care routines including toileting, feeding, and mobility support where required
* Help pupils access the curriculum and participate fully in school life
* Implement care plans, individual education plans, and health care protocols
* Work closely with teachers, SENCo, healthcare professionals, and families
* Create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment for all pupils
* Support children's independence, confidence, and personal development
We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children with special educational needs and/or disabilities
* Personal care experience highly advantageous (toileting, feeding, moving and handling)
* A compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to supporting children's dignity
* Understanding of various SEN needs including physical disabilities, autism, and learning difficulties
* Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a dedicated team
* Relevant qualifications (, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, moving and handling training) desirable
* A commitment to inclusive education and meeting every child's individual needs
