About Leisure Centre Assistant Manager
This is an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager to join a team of highly motivated and passionate individuals to help deliver Active Leicester's long-term vision to reduce high levels of inactivity and increase participation across the City. Based initially at Braunstone Leisure Centre you'll have the ability to work across all leisure centre facilities as and when required.
What you'll be doing
* As a dynamic Assistant Manager, you'll support the General Manager in the management and performance of a leisure centre and develop a high performing centre team to deliver operational and financial targets.
* Leading a team of 30 staff + temporary resources, you'll undertake the full range of associated management activities, including monitoring budgets, targets, and key performance indicators, and implementing quality systems that improve service standards.
* Support the development of plans to improve performance and ensure the leisure facility operates in line with industry Health and Safety guidance as well as the Council's policies and procedures.
What you'll need
* Experience in supervisory or management roles in leisure facilities, with a track record of improving performance in areas such as aquatics, sales, or health & fitness.
* Experience in managing staff performance and development, and detailed knowledge of key performance indicators and their application to improve service.
* Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and regulations to ensure compliance across facilities in line with industry guidance and Leicester City Council policy and procedures.
* Ability to self-manage, a flexible approach, and a commitment to Sport Service, creating a professional and positive working environment.
