Your new company
I am working exclusively with my client on a new role for the team. Due to business expansion, ongoing projects and future plans, the Head of Tax is looking for a Senior Manager to join the team to look after the International Tax affairs of the Group across Europe. Your new role
You will:
1. Provide senior level support to the Head of Tax
2. Have primary responsibility for the management of corporate tax matters across the UK and Europe.
3. Manage tax risk across European jurisdictions
4. Delivery of the UK and European corporate tax compliance and tax disclosures for the group's businesses (liaising with outsourced compliance service providers)
5. Maximise corporation tax reliefs
6. Manage the group's transfer pricing policy and documentation
7. Be responsible for the group's Pillar 2 reporting and compliance (and management of outsourced providers)
8. Oversee the preparation of the statutory accounts tax notes and related accounting
9. Own the risk and control processes across corporation tax, and management of wider European tax risks, including with the support of the existing team, indirect taxes (primarily VAT).
10. Oversee integration of compliance and tax risk processes for acquired businesses
11. Mentor juniors on the team as needed
12. Gain exposure to indirect taxes by supporting others in the team as needed
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a qualified accounting or tax professional, or qualified by experience. You will have international tax experience, especially Direct Tax, or have a mixed tax background. Previous management experience would be beneficial, but not a necessity. You will be able to demonstrate being responsible for tax compliance, risk and control across various jurisdictions.
What you'll get in return
You will receive a salary dependent on experience of up to £90,000 along with a 10% bonus. Other benefits on application. My client operates a flexible hybrid working pattern with one day one the office a week.
