Lead UX work from problem definition to delivery, applying a strong design thinking approach Plan and carry out user research and discovery activities, using both qualitative and quantitative insights Translate research into clear problem statements, experience principles, user flows and design concepts Create and iterate wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs using Figma Plan, run and analyse usability testing, feeding insights back into design improvements Work confidently with design systems, applying components appropriately and contributing improvements where needed Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and Delivery teams to ensure designs are feasible, inclusive and deliver value Advocate for the user and for accessibility and inclusive design throughout the design process Present work clearly to stakeholders, explaining design decisions and trade-offs Contribute to chapter rituals, critiques and continuous improvement of UX practice at Tesco Mobile Strong experience as a UX Designer working across the full design lifecycle Proven ability to work as a UX generalist, from discovery through to delivery Experience planning and conducting user research and usability testing Excellent Figma skills, including prototyping and working with shared libraries Hands-on experience using and contributing to design systems Strong understanding of interaction design, information architecture and user-centred design principles Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams Confident communicator, able to articulate design rationale to a range of stakeholders Nice to have • Experience designing for mobile-first or app-based products • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and inclusive design practices • Experience working in large, complex organisations or chapter-based models • Exposure to analytics or data-informed design decisions Nice to have • Experience designing for mobile-first or app-based products • Familiarity with accessibility standards (e.g. WCAG) and inclusive design practices • Experience working in large, complex organisations or chapter-based models • Exposure to analytics or data-informed design decisions
