Role Overview
Rothschild & Co's debt advisory team is the largest and most experienced globally, with over 50 professionals in London and more than 200 worldwide. We have advised on over 3,000 transactions totaling over $2.3 trillion in the past decade. The Real Estate Debt Advisory team is part of our Real Estate sector coverage, which is the largest in Europe, offering comprehensive advisory services across various real estate sub-sectors and financing options.
Our deep market understanding and extensive network enable us to deliver strategic solutions and act as trusted long-term advisors to our clients, which include private equity investors, investment-grade corporates, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, and entrepreneurs across Europe.
Responsibilities
* Participate in all aspects of financing transactions, from strategy to execution:
o Draft key transaction materials, including lender presentations, financial forecasts, and RFPs.
o Perform debt capacity, covenant, and credit rating modeling.
o Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
o Review term sheets, legal documents, and support negotiations.
* Support business development and marketing efforts:
o Contribute to client advice materials through analysis.
o Research market trends and update databases.
Qualifications
* Degree or equivalent: 2:1 or above.
* ACA or equivalent qualification; first-time passes preferred but not essential.
Skills & Competencies
* Experience in real estate advisory, lending, or investing roles.
* Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including financial modeling and understanding of credit metrics.
* Ability to build relationships across teams and geographies.
* Capacity to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Effective communication and influencing skills.
* Knowledge of financial principles and the European real estate market.
* Familiarity with debt instruments; knowledge of the European debt market is a plus.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data platforms.
