 
        
        We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join us in this new post. The postholder will be responsible for creating and leading the SC1 London partnership and delivery team, advising SC1 Board members, and delivering strategic and operational management of SC1 London.
The postholder will arrange, attend and contribute to Board meetings as Secretary to the Board, and will be required to deliver operational, business and strategic advice within demanding time‑frames to support the Senior Vice President Health and Life Sciences, King’s College London, and Executive Director, King’s Health Partners.
Responsibilities
 * Lead the strategic and operational management of the SC1 London office and the SVP/ED Office in relation to SC1 matters.
 * Provide high‑quality policy advice, information and administrative support.
 * Compile and write business plans, develop strategy and strategic reports, and synthesize information from a wide range of internal and external sources to support SC1 London and contribute to corporate, commercial policies and strategy.
 * Strategically support a number of portfolios of work on behalf of SC1 London, ensuring they are delivered as required and that performance targets are met against strategy and delivery plans, and provide input into policy and decision‑making for the SC1 Board.
 * Provide direct and personal support for the SVP/ED; problem‑solve and troubleshoot to ensure effective performance in all roles and duties for SC1 London.
 * Exercise delegated authority on behalf of the SVP/ED to facilitate the resolution of management and operational issues within and beyond SC1 London, and support the wider senior leadership team and Board members.
 * Collaborate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in other organisations, strengthening current and evolving partnerships for effective cross‑organisational working, including managing critical internal and external communications.
 * Prepare briefings, presentations, speaking notes and reports to keep key leads effectively briefed and appropriately sighted.
 * Represent the SVP/ED at relevant SC1 London, external and national meetings and events.
 * Remain up to date on national and local developments and best practice, particularly in the key policy areas of innovation and improvement.
 * Oversee the SC1 budget on behalf of the SVP/ED in conjunction with the relevant finance leads from SC1 London member organisations.
 * Develop, implement and deliver designated programmes and projects across the SC1 agenda and the wider portfolio of the SVP/ED for the work of SC1 London.
