About the Role
Key Skills
* Protection Engineering Design Expertise: Proven ability to produce and check schematic diagrams, wiring diagrams, cable schedules, and panel layouts to meet design specifications.
* CAD and Engineering Software Proficiency: Experience with tools like AutoCAD, DigSilent PowerFactory, ETAP, and Amtech to develop precise technical designs.
* Industry Standards Knowledge: Strong understanding of UK industry and DNO standards, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
* Communication and Collaboration: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for technical discussions, client meetings, and team coordination.
* Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess and resolve technical challenges while managing design risk and quality control processes effectively.
* Adaptability: Hands-on technical expertise applicable to electrical power, transmission, or distribution industries, with site experience being advantageous.
