Teacher - Alternative Provision (SEMH/SEND)
Location: Sandwell
Contract Type: Term-time, Permanent, Full-time (Monday-Friday)
Start Date: December 2025
Daily Rate: £170 - £250 (dependent on experience and qualifications)
About us
A new alternative provision for secondary-aged students (11-16) with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH), and/or experiences of trauma.

The Role
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Teacher to join our founding team and drive high-quality teaching and learning across our new provision. You will model best practice, support colleagues, and help shape a curriculum that meets the diverse needs of our learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support academic and emotional development.
* Support with curriculum design, assessment, and progress tracking in a new school environment.
* Implement trauma-informed and restorative approaches to behaviour and learning.
* Collaborate with the SENCO, therapists, and external professionals to ensure holistic support.
* Contribute to EHCP reviews and personalised learning plans.
About You
* QTS/QTLS with experience in SEMH, SEND, or alternative provision settings.
* Skilled in adaptive teaching and relational behaviour support.
* Knowledge of therapeutic approaches (e.g. PACE, Zones of Regulation) desirable.
* Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
* Passionate about equity, inclusion and student voice.
* Assessor/IQA qualifications desirable - salary will reflect additional qualifications.
