Sports Coach Required – Supportive Secondary School in Sittingbourne

Supply Desk are pleased to be working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Sittingbourne, seeking a dedicated Sports Coach to join their PE department on a full-time, long-term basis until the end of the academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate sports professional or aspiring PE teacher who has experience working with young people — particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or from vulnerable backgrounds. The school is proud of its supportive ethos and strong focus on inclusion, making it an ideal environment for someone who wants to make a real difference through sport and physical education.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Support the delivery of engaging and inclusive PE lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Encourage participation, teamwork, and resilience among students of all abilities.
* Adapt activities to meet the individual needs of students with SEND or SEMH challenges.
* Promote physical and emotional well-being through positive role modelling.
* Assist in extracurricular sports clubs, events, and enrichment activities.
* Collaborate with the PE team and wider school staff to maintain a safe and encouraging learning environment.
Requirements:
* Experience working in a school or SEND setting, or with young people in a coaching or mentoring capacity.
* A strong interest in education, sport, and youth development.
* Ability to motivate and support students with varying needs and abilities.
* Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
* Right to Work in the UK and two professional references covering the last two years.
