Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to meet a range of special educational needs.
* Support students with a variety of needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
* Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and personalised learning strategies.
* Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and emotional wellbeing.
* Use a range of teaching approaches to engage students and support their individual learning styles.
* Monitor, assess, and track student progress, adapting teaching strategies accordingly.
* Work closely with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals to support student development.
* Promote positive behaviour and support students in developing social and emotional skills.
* Communicate effectively with parents and carers, providing regular updates on progress and wellbeing.
Candidate Profile
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* Experience working with SEN students is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs and effective support strategies.
* Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
* Commitment to inclusive education and ongoing professional development.
* Holds (or is willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS check and professional references.
