Main responsibilities of a Freight Forwarder / Freight Forwarding: Planning and arranging collections and deliveries - Logistics Liaising with customers, carriers, suppliers, shipping lines, port authorities etc. by telephone, email etc Obtaining the necessary paperwork, Bill of ladings etc Admin / Administration support to all parties Data input / Data entry and general admin Skills and qualities: Previous experience in Airfreight and general forwarding Knowledge of customs declarations in freight forwarding/logistics is an advantage Ability to work under pressure (deadlines), independently and within a team Attention to detail, competent in Microsoft, Outlook, and ability to learn new procedures Be driven and self-motivated You must be able to work under your own initiative to find solutions for complicated logistics movements from start to finish At times you are responsible for your own profitability Essential Experience We are looking for someone who has experience as an Airfreight Forwarder / within this field. Be able to expedite complex logistical movements spanning multiple countries.
