Are you a confident communicator who loves solving problems, influencing project decisions, and working closely with customers? We’re looking for a Project Specification Manager to take ownership of a busy region and champion integrated building material system solutions across refurbishment projects.
In this role, you’ll combine technical understanding with relationship-building to ensure our client’s systems are correctly specified, supported, and delivered - helping customers achieve the best possible outcomes for their projects.
What You'll Be Doing
As a specification-focused specialist, you’ll be at the heart of refurbishment projects from concept to installation.
Territory includes EX, TA, BA, BS, SP, SO, RG, SN, GL and OX postcodes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Customer Engagement: Carry out regular customer visits to build strong relationships, understand project challenges, and identify new opportunities.
* Winning Specifications: Promote and secure full system solutions within project specifications, influencing architects, specifiers, contractors, and project teams.
* Technical & Guarantee Support: Provide clear guidance on system requirements and guarantees, including site visits to ensure correct understanding and implementation.
* Forecasting & Planning: Prepare accurate sales forecasts and support demand planning to ensure smooth supply into your region’s projects.
* Business Development: Proactively identify, develop, and convert new opportunities to grow revenue and expand market presence.
* Strategic Alignment: Ensure your pipeline, projects, and activities support wider business goals and product portfolio strategies.
* CRM Excellence: Maintain detailed and accurate CRM records, managing your pipeline and customer activity with discipline and attention to detail.

Essential Skills & Experience:
* Experience in technical sales, specification sales, or construction-related business development
* Strong understanding of building materials and full system solutions
* Ability to read, interpret, and influence project specifications
* Comfortable meeting customers, visiting sites, and handling technical discussions (full UK driving licence is essential)
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Strong organisational skills - able to manage a high volume of customer interactions
* CRM experience (SAP C4C ideal, but any CRM acceptable)
* Proactive, target-driven, and motivated by building long-term relationships
