We also offer an optional nine-day fortnight scheme, allowing you to compress your hours if it suits the role.What you’ll be doingInspect homes and complete pre- and post-void surveys, ensuring properties meet our Lettable Standard.Prepare specifications, tender documents and contract instructions using the NHF Schedule of Rates.Manage works to completion, ensuring quality, compliance and value for money.Work closely with contractors and colleagues to deliver excellent performance and minimise void times.Lead on customer requests, mutual exchange inspections and safety checks.Monitor performance, collate evidence, manage complaints and help resolve MP/EHO/Legal disrepair enquiries.Maintain high-quality records using tools like photometers and iAuditor.Promote safe working practices and support Health & Safety compliance, including contractor audits.What we’re looking for:We’re after someone confident, organised, and great with people; someone who can balance technical knowledge with empathy and customer focus.Here’s what would make you stand out:Strong knowledge of housing maintenance, defect diagnosis and remedial works.Good understanding of social housing and property management systems (Northgate or similar).Experience in planned maintenance, repairs, contract administration and scheduling.Confident using Microsoft Office and databases.Ability to communicate effectively with residents, contractors and partner agencies.Comfortable climbing ladders/scaffolding and completing site-based inspections.Willingness to join an on-call rota for 23 weeks per year (Monday 5pm Monday 9am).You will also need to be Qualified to a minimum HNC Building Surveying standard - this is essential.If specific qualifications are required, please upload them with your application to demonstrate your eligibility.At PA Housing, we believe in respect, integrity, and accountability.
