What you'll be doing As a Team Leader in our Despatch department, you will play a key role in ensuring that customer orders are prepared and shipped efficiently, accurately, and on time. You will be responsible for supporting your team, maintaining high performance standards, and helping drive continuous improvement across day-to-day operations. Responsibilities include: • Attending and contributing to pre-shift Debriefs to gain a clear overview of priorities and key updates for the day • Leading Daily Information Briefings (DIBs) to communicate tasks and goals to the team • Allocating tasks and managing the workflow to meet daily targets and KPIs • Supporting the training, onboarding, and ongoing development of team members • Assisting with performance reviews, including annual appraisals and 6-month evaluations • Monitoring and analysing team and individual performance using internal IT systems • Ensuring that work is completed to high standards of accuracy, safety, and quality • Identifying and acting on opportunities to improve processes and boost efficiency • Communicating effectively with your First Line Manager, other team leaders, and colleagues across shifts • Participating in meetings, projects, and initiatives that contribute to the wider success of the department Who we are looking for We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Team Leader to join our Despatch department, which plays a key role in collecting and shipping customer orders.
