The role:
As our Bid Writer, you’ll play a pivotal role in helping our clients secure new business opportunities. You’ll be responsible for crafting clear, compelling, and client-focused proposals that reflect their brand, showcase their expertise, and align with client requirements. You’ll work closely with directors, technical leads, and the business development team to develop winning bids, frameworks, and tender submissions for a range of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Write, edit, and coordinate high-quality bid and tender submissions
* Translate technical information into persuasive, client-friendly language
* Develop bid content, case studies, and supporting documents aligned with brand standards
* Manage bid timelines, ensuring submissions are completed accurately and on time
* Support pipeline tracking and bid/no-bid decision processes
* Contribute to continuous improvement of bid materials and knowledge libraries
What are we looking for?
You’ll be an excellent communicator with a keen eye for detail and a flair for persuasive writing. You’re proactive, organised, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. As well as:
* Proven experience writing bids or tenders, ideally within the construction, engineering, or consultancy sector
* Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
* Ability to interpret technical content and present it in a clear, compelling way
* Strong organisational and project management abilities
* Confident working collaboratively across teams and disciplines
* Knowledge of public sector procurement (e.g. frameworks, PQQs, ITTs)
