Laundry Assistant at HC One
At HC One, kindness is at the heart of everything we do. Our care homes for Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care are built on understanding that our residents are individuals with their own stories. Joining HC One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
Your role will involve maintaining high standards of order and tidiness in the laundry area. Responsibilities include washing, drying, ironing, and repairing clothing as needed, as well as maintaining linen stocks and raising any issues with the Senior Housekeeper. Your attention to detail will ensure a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents.
You will handle tasks such as folding and separating linen and clothes, preparing them for return to residents or redistribution to correct rooms, always with kindness. Pride in your work and a commitment to high standards will help create a well-maintained environment that contributes to residents' happiness and health.
We are seeking someone with experience, though training will be provided. Essential skills include excellent time management, organizational skills, and a positive, energetic attitude. You should be a great communicator, able to listen and give clear instructions, and considerate in all interactions with residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect, and know how to respond appropriately. All staff will receive safeguarding training relevant to their role and are expected to seek advice and report concerns as needed.
