We are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join our team, working for one of the most successful bespoke joinery companies located in the Teesside area. BA Joinery designs, manufactures and installs bespoke joinery items to the peak of industry quality all over the country from our 40,000 square foot headquarters in Billingham Teesside. Our products and creations have been installed in workplaces of the BBC, ITV, Deloitte and EY to name but a few of our projects completed over our 17 years in business.
Due to a positive order book we are looking to recruit a QS to join our commercial team based at our Teesside location.
Knowledge within the joinery and manufacturing sector would be preferred.
Job Role:
· Take full commercial responsibility for a number of projects from £ 50k - £ 5 million
· Preparation of applications for payment
· Collation and pricing of variations as and when required
· Understanding of technical drawings
· Material and fixing team procurement
· Production of monthly cash flow, revenue and profit forecasts / reports
· Preparation and completion of accurate monthly project cost and value reconciliations
· Obtaining certifications and payments timeous to the agreements within the sub contract and raising of invoices as necessary
· Taking full commercial responsibility of the project including any negotiations up to and including final account agreements
· Basic knowledge and awareness of contracts
· Be responsible for the collection of retention
· Liaise with fixers / suppliers as necessary with regard to commercial aspects following order placement
· To assist and work closely with the Contracts Manager

Education:
BSC Honors in Quantity Surveying (preferred/alternative level)
Experience:
3 years post graduate (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
Full Driving Licence required.
