We are looking for an experienced secretary to join our Property team in Sheffield, providing essential administrative and secretarial support to fee earners in a busy and collaborative department. This position is key to maintaining efficient workflows, delivering a professional service to clients, and ensuring compliance. Key responsibilities Prepare and format legal documents, correspondence and forms using Microsoft Word and Excel Manage diaries, schedule appointments and coordinate meetings Maintain accurate digital and physical filing systems, including archiving and retrieval Handle billing processes and financial administration Audio typing via digital dictation Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally and discreetly Liaise confidently with colleagues and external clients Draft routine legal documents using standard templates Maintain client files in line with Lexcel standards and firm protocols Ensure compliance with SRA regulations, Money Laundering Rules and internal policies The ideal candidate To be considered for this role you must have the following: 2 years’ experience in a secretarial or administrative role within a legal environment Experience in commercial or residential property is preferred Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and legal software e.g. Aderant (or similar case management systems) Strong written and verbal communication skills High attention to detail and accuracy Application Process Our selection process for the Secretary position is transparent.
