Operationally reporting to the lead Programme Manager/Director, the Senior Project Planner will actively deliver integrated project planning and scheduling activities across a programme through creating and maintaining schedules, and providing project planning reports and metrics.
Working within an applied matrix organisation, collaborating with engineering, procurement, supply-chain, and production departments, the role fosters and encourages the culture and operational effectiveness of Integrated Project Teams (IPTs).
As part of the Bids and Programmes team, you will support the entire Marshall Life Cycle Management Processes (LCM) and Business Management System (BMS), bringing your experience to support the wider team.
Key responsibilities of Senior Project Planner:
* Planning and scheduling projects within the programme, developing project plans and schedules.
* Monitoring progress, identifying bottlenecks, and working with the IPT to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets.
* Resource loading of project schedules.
* Supporting the generation of monthly SPI, CPI, EVM, and CPA reports from schedules.
* Evaluating schedule outcomes and identifying improvement areas.
* Mentoring junior planners and project teams.
* Managing changes into the Project Contract Master Schedule (CMS) and assessing risks for proposed changes.
* Conducting Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA) to assess confidence levels and contractual delivery dates.
* Performing Sensitivity Analysis to identify key drivers of uncertainty.
* Supporting adherence to LCM processes and lessons learned activities.
Apply if you have most of the following:
* Experience in project planning roles, ideally in defence, including planning, scheduling, and project control.
* Understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
* Expertise in project control tools & techniques, including MSP, P6 Primavera, EVM, SPI, CPI, change management, and risk management.
* Experience in Critical Path Analysis and Risk-Adjusted Schedules.
* Desirable: experience within a collaborative IPT environment.
* Desirable: project management or project controls qualification.
