What is the job role?

We are seeking dedicated and proactive individuals to take on the role of Assistant Duty Officer (ADO) on a casual basis. This is a relief post, not part of the main contract, and involves covering for the Senior Support Assistant when they are unavailable. The ADO will primarily work within their own units but can volunteer to cover elsewhere with management and induction support. Responsibilities include answering phones, managing keys, carrying the duty mobile, and checking in medication from the pharmacy. The ADO will ensure continuity of care and support services, maintaining high standards of service delivery. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills and experience, working towards a Senior Support Assistant position.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and as such appointment to this post will be conditional upon the receipt of a satisfactory response to a check of police records via Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful in this role you will:

· Ideally, you will either have a Diploma 2 or equivalent (NVQ 3 in Social Care).

· Have a good knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.

· Be able to work with management to ensure that all Service Users’ needs are being met to support their individual outcomes.

· The ability to use own initiative and respond flexibly to the needs of Service Users promotes dignity, respect, and choice at all times.
