The Role
As an ECT in Computer Science, you will contribute to delivering engaging lessons across KS3–KS4, with opportunities to grow into KS5 teaching as your experience develops.
Your responsibilities will include:
Teaching programming, algorithms, computational thinking, and digital literacy
Using real-world scenarios to make computing curriculum accessible
Supporting students with Python, Java, HTML/CSS, and other relevant languages
Contributing to coding clubs, robotics groups, and STEM activities
Using assessment to guide planning and differentiation
Producing high-quality resources and supporting the department’s digital strategy
Participating fully in mentoring, coaching, and ECT CPD sessions
