Overview
Location: Bedfordshire (SG18). Commutable from Bedford, St. Neots, Stevenage, Royston, Hitchin, Biggleswade, Sandy, Welwyn. Salary: GBP52,000 + overtime + bonus. Schedule: Monday–Friday Days.

Role and Responsibilities
* Responsible for maintaining, repairing and rectifying faults on all site electrical and electronic controls systems: PLCs, HMIs, Robotics, Network Systems, Servo Systems
* PLC: electrical fault finding, modifications, basic programming
* Work closely with shift engineering team on rectifying major PLC/electrical issues
* Electrical installation, commissioning, upgrades on control panels, testing and inspections
* Project work: design and development of obsolete motion control systems, PLCs, network systems
* Design and modifications of existing electrical systems
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* Must have at least 5 years experience in controls / automation
* PLC: electrical fault finding and diagnostics
* Electrical installation, commissioning, testing and inspection
* Must have completed a time-served apprenticeship: Level 3 or higher
* 18th Edition: beneficial
* Experience with network systems, HMIs, servo systems
* Flexible character: happy to occasionally cover shifts if needed
* Ideally experience in food manufacturing but not essential
* Excellent problem solving skills and understanding of relevant codes/regulations
