The Role
You’ll join a small but skilled engineering team on a busy food manufacturing site, taking ownership of preventative maintenance, reactive engineering support, and equipment improvements across a range of electro‑mechanical assets.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering periodic & condition-based PPM on production equipment
* Quick and efficient fault‑finding and breakdown response
* Fabricating and machining parts (lathe, milling, welding)
* Supporting CI projects and operational improvements
* Working with the Operations team to maximise equipment performance
* Keeping documentation up to date and using the CMMS system effectively
* Liaising with contractors and supporting site upgrades
* Ongoing training and development to maintain professional competence
* On‑call requirement including a standby charge and increased rate if called out
What You’ll Bring
* Level 3 Engineering qualification (Electro‑Mechanical preferred)
* Strong mechanical & electrical fault‑finding ability
* Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
* Confident with fabrication and machining techniques
* Able to work at height and in confined spaces
* Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics & motion control
* PLC logic understanding (desirable)
