Job Title: Consultant Paediatrician Grade: Consultant Location: West Midlands Working Hours: Full-time, 10 PAs (with flexibility for part-time applicants) Salary: £105,504 – £139,882 per annum About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Consultant Paediatrician to join our vibrant and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a department that delivers high-quality general paediatric and neonatal care, with opportunities to develop a special interest such as paediatric respiratory medicine, endocrinology, or child protection. You will be part of a team of 14 consultant paediatricians, providing care to children and families across the area. The post may include some peripheral clinics in nearby market towns. Requirements Full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC) Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Paediatrics (or within 6 months of interview) Relevant postgraduate qualifications and Fellowship of a Royal College (e.g., FRCPCH) Strong background in general paediatrics and neonatology Practical skills and experience in acute paediatric care and safeguarding Typical Job Plan and Duties A standard job plan includes: Consultant of the Week (CoW): 2.2 PAs, covering all patients seen by the paediatric team Monday–Thursday or Friday–Sunday.
