Description Job Description Do you have excellent attention to detail and the confidence to advise and influence colleagues and stakeholders at all levels? The Manager of the Business Management Unit will lead all of the Directorates administration and business processes. This will include managing a team and working closely with the Chief Finance Officer for NHS Scotland and Depute Directors to ensure business process are managed effectively and efficiently. You will be in a fast paced environment and requires excellent organisational skills, stakeholder management and ability to work on own initiative, improving processes and delivering to deadlines. Your role will also encompass project management duties for the NHS Scotland Finance Delivery Unit (FDU), hosted within the Directorate. This will involve overseeing external stakeholder communications and professional project planning capabilities. Responsibilities Leading the Business Management Unit for the Directorate, managing day to day processes and ad hoc enquiries to be a centre of excellence across the Directorate for our back office support. Managing our POC budget and overall workforce planning, being able to give robust assurance to the Senior Management Team that workforce position and planning is accurate and looking for efficiency to live within our POC budget and generate savings. Ensuring regular commissions re delegated and are dealt with and deadlines met including for business continuity plans, certificates of assurance, risk register updates and a range of other commissions. Leading on and improving Directorate wide communications, keeping all staff engaged and aware of key developments including the newsletter, Directorate huddle and anchor days. Leading a range of project management functions for the FDU including monthly reporting to DG, regular project planning and ensuring the compliant filing of documentation. Overseeing more junior members of staff to provide Executive Assistant capacity to the Senior Management Team. Line management of 2 Admin Leads with 4 other members of the team below.
