What you will be doing: - Act as the key point of contact between CBRE's business leaders in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region, and the Global Ethics & Compliance Team. - Manage Field Compliance Officers within the EMEA Region, including the UK, Western Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. - Work with local Management and staff to help the business identify compliance risks. - Ensure the required CBRE Global Ethics & Compliance program deliverables are implemented across the Region and executed in a manner consistent with CBRE standards and corporate requirements. Including, but not limited to: - Facilitate Periodic Risk Assessment. - Facilitate Annual Standards of Business Conduct Certifications and follow up of employee Disclosures. - Facilitate governance and management of CBRE global corporate policies in the Region (incl. approvals of local policy addendums to global policies) in line with CBRE's global policy governance policy and procedures. - Train and inform the business on specific local risks or on new global Ethics & Compliance initiatives - Facilitate the establishment of appropriate risk-based monitoring in the Region, - Securing leadership engagement through: - Facilitating the update and implementation of the appropriate company policies and procedures. - Supporting the provision of adequate training to key employees. - Providing timely compliance advice to the business. - Supporting Management in understanding and resolving monitoring and audit findings and red flags within the Region. - Providing logistical, informational and practical support were requested to internal investigations carried out by the Trust Team in the Region. - Acting as a key point of contact, coordinate with support functions, and provide feedback to business leadership as required. Monitor and provide feedback to business leadership and to Global Ethics & Compliance on remediation actions arising from Trust Team investigations. - Empower business leaders and Management teams across the Region to promote the RISE values and foster a positive Speak-Up culture. - Regularly attend and contribute to management meetings and leadership and support function forums and events across the business in the assigned Region. - Establish and chair periodic Compliance Review Boards in each relevant business to ensure documented and consistent reporting of compliance metrics, and an independent record of Management actions taken as a result. - Coordinate with Support Function leads in the Region to confirm efficient delivery of the Ethics & Compliance program. - Represent the needs and concerns of Management and Support Functions in the Region back to the global Compliance Program - As needed, the FCO will support additional corporate or global Ethics & Compliance projects in the Region. In particular, the FCO will support relevant M&A Due Diligence and Integration processes in the Region. - Work with global compliance programs and local market contacts when potential new regulatory requirements are identified. - Provide / facilitate guidance to the business on completion of client RFP questionnaires and other compliance related enquiries, on an exceptions basis where standard responses are not sufficient to answer client questions. - Proactively contribute to the development of other global Ethics & Compliance Team members. What you will need: -Chartered Accountant/ACCA/FCA -15 years of experience in related field (with background in Big 4 preferred). -UK and European experience within a regulated industry (i.e. financial services with strong compliance leader and expertise in enterprise risk management frameworks. Other Skills and Abilities -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Team management and people management skills -Ability to work well in a global, multinational matrix organisation and leading senior leadership compliance / field compliance in European countries. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Has management responsibilities for the Field Compliance Officers within the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Region, including the UK, Western Europe, Central Europe, Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports. Effectively recommends same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance and retention.
